ALIEXPRESS STICK HIGHLIGHTER REVIEW

 Magical Halo Shimmer Stick
Price: US$ 1.07

When i ordered this i was really craving for a highlighter that could give me a fine wet-like look to my face. I thought a stick highlighter which is creamy would give me just that. So i ordered myself one. The price is very reasonable and i don't think i could get anything cheaper than this in a physical store around my city.

There are two colours to choose from. 01 - pink and 02 - golden.
I chose the golden one cos i thought it'll match my yellow undertone.

It came with this separator on top which is really neat. However if you're in a hurry, this separator will only slow you down. I ended up taking it out. This separator is perfect for travelling though.

 The golden stick.

It glides on very smoothly. It gives out tiny layer of product, no clumping and the glitter are fine. It's looks really nice at this point.

Once blended out, the shine almost look disappeared. Turned out to be very subtle with yellow tint to it.

Applied on the cheekbones, it looked okay. The glitter still shines through though it's not as blinding. I don't get that wet-look i'm looking for. And, if i build up the layers, it'll look super yellow, in contrast with the pink blush underneath. However, for brow bone and bridge of your nose highlight, it is extremely perfect.

After using it for over 4 months now, i decided that it is not for my cheekbones at all. I prefer using my powder highlighter over this cos it's more blinding *lol*.

Pros:
Easy to carry
Travel friendly
It has no smell

Cons:
Very subtle glow

DUPE NARS ITA BRUSH REVIEW

Dupe NARS Ita Brush
Price: US$ 1.47

The authentic brush is inspired from brushed used by geisha for doing their makeup. It's called 'itahake' as the ones found in this photo here.

I was initially not interested at all with this brush cos it looks awkward. But then i saw one of our local makeup artist using this in one of her video, doing makeup on her customer. She used it to apply contour and the result looked fabulous. Then, starting from that point on i started thinking of having one of this. So i went on the hunt for it on Aliexpress. The cheapest one i found is this one, where they don't print the label on the handle. If you want the realistic replica you'll have to pay more. Well, instead of paying more only for that print, i went ahead and just ordered this one.

Bare handle. Soft and velvety (picks up dust very easily though) and it feels very nice to the touch.

The brisles are not dense. But it's super soft.

The thing i like about this brush is it is precise. There's nothing too great about it apart from that job. Usually i would pick up my darker shade of contour and place it with this brush. Then i'd use another brush for blending it in with bronzer. So far it does the job really well and i enjoyed using it.

This brush is definitely not an essential tool in makeup. It's just a nice addition just to have fun with. At least it is there in my collection and it definitely satisfy my curiosity.

CATRICE HD LIQUID COVERAGE FOUNDATION REVIEW

 Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation
Price: RM33.00

Catrice is only available in Guardian. Before buying this i have seen lots of review on it cos i don't want to do the same mistake i made when i bought the Olay BB Cream. I saw many good reviews on it. My only focus was a foundation that provides good coverage and the price has to be reasonable. This Catrice foundation suits the characteristics i'm looking for. In fact it's among the cheapest foundation you could find in a drugstore. Other brands would cost at least 40 ringgit.

It came in a velvety glass bottle. It feels quiet heavy in your hand. Last time i was in Guardian i saw they only carry two shades to choose from. 020 - Rose Beige and the other one is here in my hand 040 - Warm Beige.

It comes with this dropper that makes it look rich and expensive. Who would've thought it's only a 30 ringgit (ish) foundation?

The only problem i heard about this foundation is it oxidizes. Well i did the comparison photos here. In my opinion it is not that bad. It does oxidizes into a shade darker but it matches the colour of my skin. So i have no complain here.

It has a soft smell kinda smell like powder. It's not obvious to the point of bothering. After 15 minutes the smell is completely gone.

The foundation dries almost intantly as you blend it. So i suggest you work in sections. It's really lightweight. Once it sets, it feels as if you're wearing nothing. Not tacky. Just a smooth and soft surface. Its staying power is also great. Even in this hot humid climate. It survived wonderfully. I really like it so far. And i've been wearing it a lot.

For those who are looking for affordable foundation, I would really recommend it.

POPFEEL FULL COVER CONCEALER REVIEW

 Popfeel Full Cover Concealer
Price: US$ 0.70

Look at the price. Super cheap isn't it? Well, the size is small obviously hence the price. It's only 8g. I bought this not for concealing. I just want to buy a contour cream. They're available in 5 colours. I chose the darkest one - FC05.

Though the content is not much, but i think it'll last me a long time as i don't do contour everyday. Doing cream contour is time consuming and most of the time i don't have the luxury of spending 60 minutes on my makeup.

The container is small and cute. Just a bit bigger than your average gel liner pot. You can dump it in your makeup bag and bring it around with you without taking too much space. Very practical.

The texture is super creamy. Smooth like butter and it glides beautifully. If you bought it as concealer, i don't think it would work well in concealing as the coverage is super SHEER. But pigment-wise, it is very pigmented. Just a little bit is enough to contour your features.

BIO-ESSENCE MIRACLE BIO WATER REVIEW

BIO-ESSENCE MIRACLE BIO WATER
Price: RM5.50

I got this from my local Guardian store for RM5.50. I saw some people buying this particular product for RM5 only. I think the price price varies according to promotion season. But still it's cheap. Cheaper than an item from Daiso obviouly.

The ingredients and the suggestions of use.

I bought this merely for setting up my makeup. As you can see it only contains water. Actually i was already planning on making my own setting spray. I saw how Vasseurbeauty (her mother is a chemist and own a skincare line)  teach us how to make one similar to mac fix plus. She only added few drops of glycerin to her distilled water. And i already got all ingredients ready to mix into one spray bottle. But as i found this in Guardian, i thought my DIY project can be put on hold until i finish this bio essence bottle. LOL.

I sprayed this on my bare face and as you can see the mist is very fine. Like super duper fine. When it hits your face, it feels as though you're walking into a big ball of fog. Once it's done your skin would feel instant effect of cooling. As we can see here, the tiny drops of water clings on my fine face hair. When you sprayed this on your makeup, it would give you instant glow. Then sets everything in place. Especially if you used loose powder earlier. All the dust would settle in.

So far i'm very happy with it and i'll carry it with me wherever i go. Since the bottle is small, the idea of travelling with it in your handbag is really perfect.

This small bottle version is only available in Guardian. Watsons only carry the big version one which will cost around RM30 something if i'm not mistaken.

KEDAI RM2 SILISPONGE REVIEW

SILICONE SPONGE
Price: RM2.12

I've been eyeing this kind of product on Aliexpress for quite sometimes. But hesitated to order it. One day as i went browsing through Eco shop beauty isle, i saw this gem on display. Without even thinking i brought it to the cashier and just brought it home.

 Super simple packaging.

The texture is super soft. Like a rubber/silicone feels. Then comes the application part. For sure it won't absorb your product at all. But then i found it to be difficult to work with. Awkward to hold. And blending using this is just not easy. I ended up just placing this somewhere in my makeup storage. Tried to include this a few times in my makeup routine, like for cream blusher or concealer. But i always chose beauty blender or my fingers over this.

So, owning one of this viral product is enough to satisfy my curiosity. Thank god it's only 2 ringgit.

OLAY TOTAL EFFECTS BB CREAM REVIEW

 OLAY TOTAL EFFECTS BB CREME
Price: RM21.90

I bought this spontaneously at a Guardian cos i was so surprised at their 50% off promotion. I was like thinking i need to grab this asap cos it'll be finished by tomorrow. I brought it home and here it is.

Unboxing it. Can read the ingredients and the claims. Well, i'm not bothered.

The bottle is quite decent. Fat and handful.

One pump. Enough to cover your entire face.

Dotted it here and there. Ready to blend.

At this point, you'll notice how good it smells. And the cream itself is so soft and light just like a piece of cloud smeared to your face. Nice nice feeling.

Whoopsie! Where did all the product go? Vanished!

Yep. That's exactly what happened. Dissapeared! My oh my! At this point i grabbed the bottle and read it again. It clearly says, a touch of foundation. But, damn, foundation my ***!

It sucks when you spent a good amount of money for something like this. Rubbish. I mean, i won't be as upset if they said it's just a tinted moisturizer cos i won't get my expectation high. But when they used the word FOUNDATION  then i thought well maybe they really can be a good replacement for my current foundation.

It covered nothing! Nothing at all! My skin was bare and naked. Maybe looked a little shinier and moist. I went ahead and read other reviews on the internet. Damnnnnn, girl. I made a huge mistake. :(

However, it is not entirely useless cos i still use it everyday as a light sunscreen and moisturizer before foundation. So, yeah.

CHEAP UNICORN BRUSH REVIEW

 UNICORN BRUSH
Price: US$ 4.13 (RM 17.42)

To be honest, i had enough brush already in my life. I don't need a lot and too much of everything only clutters my life. I thought. But then i saw this unicorn craze going on with the brush and makeup and everything. I saw a few people holding these brushes and the way they put these colourful bristles into their brush holder. Girrrrrl, it looked super cool. And so i googled it. Tarte brushes appeared. This is it. I looked at the price and demmm for sure i won't be getting the tarte one.

I turned to aliexpress. Typed colourful brush. Nope. Couldn't find. Typed unicorn brush. Couldn't find. The only one came out of my search was only this type of mixed up colours of brush that looked super not-creative and cheap. No offense.

Some people like it but it doesn't look like tarte's at all!

Then i typed 'fantasy brush' LOL. Yep suddenly they appeared on my search page. Thank god! Ordered it and waited for 3 weeks to get a hold of them.

They're finally here. In the photo i expected it to be quite chunky and maybe heavy. But when i received the package i was like, why does it feel like i'm holding a package of letter? So thin and light. Feels like the envelope is empty. Seriously.

I opened it then i started smiling.

So colourfulllll. So soft. So bright!

Nice brushes i must say! I got all the five essential makeup brushes. Blending, contour, powder, shading, foundation. They're so beautiful.

However the handles are flimsy. So thin and fragile. If you bend it a little harder they'll definitely break. It's made of a very thin plastic. That's the only downside of it. The bristles are synthetic but  super super soft. Great buy!

BY NANDA MERING LOOSE POWDER REVIEW

 BY NANDA MERING LOOSE POWDER
Price: RM5.11 (US$1.21)

The great thing about this order was it came so fast. I still remember how i ignored my purchase after placing the order. Exactly 14 days later it arrived. This one aspect already gave you a nice impression of the product really.

It came in a small package like this.

The packaging is plain and simple.

A puff and small tiny holes on the divider thingy.

The powder is super soft and finely milled.

Super fine. Silky and smooth. You know it's a good setting powder when the texture is different from your compact powder/ powder foundation. It's super light and it glides smoothly. Creating a smooth silky finish to your skin. It's just perfect.

It has no smell which is amazing cos i can't stand perfumed powder/foundation. The puff is small and cute. It's useful for patting the powder on your skin. I noticed how i spontaneously grabbed the puff more often than brush cos i think the puff would press it deeper into the skin. It's just my feeling.

Everything about this powder is superb except for the content. You see it only weighs 3.5g which is like a trial pack. ): I mean for that price i paid i'm not complaining. It's just, when the product is great you just wish them to give you more. heee ^_~

If you use this everyday (for work for school etc) then i think it would last you only a couple of weeks. But then, now that i know how amazing it is, i can proceed to ordering more of it. It worth every penny you spent!

SHOES I BOUGHT FROM EZBUY

 TOMS inspired shoes
Price: RM 10.72

For over three years i've been shopping a lot of stuff from Taobao. Once when i first started i used eazyla.com. But then i saw lots of advertisement on Ezbuy so i tried it. Well i got hooked ever since.

Things i normally bought are varied. Clothes mostly. Bags, luggages, cosmetics, shoes. Everytime i make an order i had this urge to keep a record of it to review later. But when things arrived in bulk i think it's too much of a hassle. LOL

But today i am feeling extra productive to share with you a piece of my order which is this TOMS inspired shoes. I've been wearing it for 3 months and it's still working perfectly fine.

It's this beautiful lace fabric that made it look so beautiful and girlish. Also the rubber sole also is super important. Nothing is more important than being comfortable walking in it. Wearing it makes you feel like wearing a light barely-there shoes slash flip flop kinda feel. Yeah the rubber sole is pretty much feels like flip flops. The lace fabric makes the air flows in which is super important if you live in a hot humid country.

I got it for RM10.72 only. Since i'm a prime member of ezbuy, the international shipping is only RM8.80 and the domestic shipping via poslaju is only RM8. Combined with other stuff i ordered, which is usually three times cheaper than average price is Malaysia, it's definitely a steal.

This one is authentic TOMS

MR DIY MINI HAUL

Hi everyone,

I want to share with you what i got from Mr DIY lately.

 Squeegee
2 bottles of nail polish
One short plastic jar

 Cake stand

I got this for only RM3.30. I am in the middle of looking for something to put my perfumes. I tried a diy project but the end result was really terrible. As soon as i saw this on the Mr Diy rack i just grabbed it without second thought.

It's at a perfect size and just stunning. The only thing I don't like about it is the cake prints on the surface. I ended up lining it up with a white paper that i cut out into a circle shape.

These are the two nail polishes i got. That left side is like a deeper shade of brick red. It looks amazing on nails with medium skin tone like mine.

I got compliments wearing this. And it's only RM2.10 each.

This is the short plastic jar i got. When i saw it on the rack, I actually mistaken it with glass jar. I thought, wow these are cute. How surprised i was when it turned out to be a plastic jar once i took closer look at it. It cost me only RM1.20 if I'm mistaken.

That's it for now. Take care!
