This is a random product i found while i was ordering from Taobao. I am super addicted to Taobao. It is like a better version of eBay. But they're super mysterious as it is in Chinese. Challenging as well in completing the order, making it more exciting to me.

I was really on a hunt for a good eyeliner for a long time. The one that does not smudge and leaves you panda eyes after cleaning. This was like a gamble for me. Placing the order, waiting for the agent to process them. Maybe one month altogether. -___-  At least it is cheap. Only 5 Yuan. That's like RM3! (shipping excluded though)

Felt tip.

i. Freshly applied. It sets almost right away.

ii. Rub test - staying  the same. Didn't smudge at all. Only the glossy surface is gone.

iii. Water test - a few dab of water and a little rubs make the products vanished a little. But, no smudging.

Applying it was super easy. It glides very smoothly. And just like using a pen, if you know how to draw a line, then it is just easy as that. The eyeliner dried almost instantly. I used this eyeliner all the time. Even if i leave it on for 6-8 hours, it always stay the same.

It does not need more explanation as it is just awesome for me. With that amount of money spent on it, it is actually worth more than that. What a great find.

MN KISSPROOF SOFT LIPSTICK REVIEW

 Hi everyone,

I bought this lipstick after knowing about its popularity. The first time i got it was in Thailand last year, and it was sold at RM4.50. Very good deal. (: A few months after that while i was living in Kulim i got another one in one of kiosk in Kulim Tesco at RM10. Super overpriced. But i got it anyway. 😒

MN KISSPROOF SOFT LIPSTICK

I got these two nude shades in hand. They're in code 006 and 008. Both are dark nude. The packaging looks professional to me. Doesn't look cheap at all. They're all written in English. It claims to lift and hydrate your lips. It is built in plastic tube. It is not retractable though. (O..O)

The 008 is mauve nude while the 006 is more orangey-brown. 

I know i'm supposed to sharpen this thing up. But how do i sharpen this plastic? The idea is very weird to me. BIG thumbs down for this design. It is just dumb. Now i need to get a special sharpener for it. I'd rather be buying new lipticks than buying a sharpener specialized for it. *rant*

 

 Here i'm trying out the lipstick in code 008. It's that mauve nude. The application was not smooth. You need to kind of like paint your lips with this pencil. You build it up one stroke after another. It was fun though. 

Remember their claim of hydrating your lips? Well it is not hydrating at all. The finishing is matte and felt kind of velvety. Not sticky at all. The feeling wearing it is very light. I don't feel like wearing anything at all. But, it is not hydrating.

Though in the photo it looks like a perfect nude for me, it is actually quite dark in person. I would never wear it for everyday natural look. If you work as a professional in blazers than this is the colour for you.

 

 Staying Power

1. After a meal. You'll notice the inner part of my lips were bare from eating. (If i were wearing a darker colour it would be more noticeable.)

2. After a few hours of talking and drinking and snacking, this is the end result. Most of the lipsticks are gone.

I tried the other shade (006) the other day and i noticed at the end of the day it gets so dry and became flaky. The lipstick dust kept falling off from my lips. Super uncomfortable.

My opinion would be, it is definitely matte and kissproof. Quite long lasting. But you need to reapply after every meals. Can't really say that all colours are the same. I believe the formula is different. So, need to experiment to find out.

It is definitely worth a try. Afterall, they have a huge collection of colours to choose from. But i would never repurchase. I'd rather go and experiment with other lipstick brands.

There are actually tonnes of review on this product but I thought why not joining the crowd. Maybe somebody would find my review useful.   u__u

My sister has used 3-4 tubes of this BB cream. Since she repeated buying so many times, then maybe it is really a wonderful product??

There are two types of this BB cream in my country. One is with SPF21 like the one i got here. Another one is with SPF50. They're only available in two shades, which is 01 Fresh (light) and 02 Natural (a bit darker). The one that suits me would be in Natural shade. But they're sold out. So I just got myself the fresh shade and brought it home.

For me the packaging is okay because i am always very careful when i squeeze it out. Some people can get really sloppy on this kind of tube as they just leave the mess in the cap. 

The consistency is more like a lotion. It is not runny. Just nice.

When you rub it in your skin, it set only in a few seconds. So you have to do it quick. Once it's dry it won't move. Blending it was easy. The coverage is light-medium. After it sets, it leaves your skin feeling sticky. Setting it with powder is a must, especially in this tropical weather.

What i like about it is it has SPF and it brightens up your skin almost instantly. (:

 

On the left side was my fresh face. It was shine free and matte at the beginning. After one hour i took another photo to make comparison. As you can see, the oil seeped through my powder and the makeup doesn't look nice anymore. Especially when the makeup is light, you'd look terrible. And it's only after ONE hour!

 

Water Test:

1. Freshly blended

2. A few dabs of water - the product dissolved into murky water

3. A few rubs - the product is gone

In my opinion, this kind of product is definitely not suitable for our tropical weather where we sweat a lot, and face would end up being oily. It is not waterproof and the oil control is almost zero. The lasting power is a big thumbs down. Doesn't worth it at all.

I would only use it for the SPF.

RM2 BLUSH BRUSH REVIEW

Hi everyone,

This is a simple quick review about a blush brush i bought from our local budget store Eco Shop. This shop is like a Dollar Store in the US. Everything is sold at RM2. You can find almost everything in there. Food, stationeries, makeup, containers, gifts, you name it.

At this one corner, you'll find a bunch of these brushes hanging with the rest of other makeup products like eyeshadow, compact powder, blusher, eyeliners, mascaras, lipsticks and a few makeup tools like eyelash curlers and tweezers.

There are many other shops like this in Malaysia. And this Eco Shop is just another brand of this RM2 concept shop. 

MEIYITING BLUSH BRUSH

When I bought this brush it was simply packed in a plastic packaging and hang on the rack. 

They come in many designs but i chose this one with red polka dots. 

The bristles are made of soft synthetic fibres. It fits perfectly in my hand. The length is average brush size.

On the metal handle you can see the brand Meiyiting written on it. Never heard about this brand before and I don't really pay attention to what brand it is. 😆

As you can see the colour of this brush is reddish. It is not dense and packed, but very fluffy and super soft. 

The size of it fits my cheek perfectly. It is not too big and gives me better control. That's the thing i like the most about it. Some blush brush that i own are a little bigger than this one. I'm not good at controlling the bigger ones and i usually end up with lots of blush, coloured big part of my cheek.

Though it is cheap, it is actually my favourite blush brush. From its appearance no one would ever thought it's only RM2. For that little money you spent, i must say it is very worth it.

EBAY 4 PCS BRUSH SET REVIEW

Hi everyone,

This is another item i got from eBay. This one cost me only $2.38 (around RM10) for the whole set including shipping. It came all the way from China and took around 2-3 weeks to arrive.

The reason why I got this was simply to replace my old kabuki that I use for powder. I was also attracted to the blending brush.

When it arrived, they were all separately wrapped in plastic. It came with a pouch.

At the first look these brushes does look cheap. At a second look, they look pretty cute. The bristles are made of synthetic fibres and they're soft. The handle was made of bamboo and they're bare, without even a coat of glossy varnish. Their looks is very clean, no details or writing on the handle. Very simple.

When my sister first set her eyes on the baby kabuki she said, did this brush lose its handle? Lol. 😲

The pouch was totally useless in keeping the brushes. It cannot fit the blending brush, unless you bend it a little. But then if you keep it that way, your brush would lose it's shape.

Overall the appearance of the brush is good enough for me. Bamboo handle is actually making them look unique and kinda more natural looking.

That's the baby kabuki against my cheek. The size is perfect for powder. It is not dense, but it does the job well.

Here I'm using the blush brush for highlight. For me it is most suitable for highlight as it is very dense. The shape is oval and the bristles are packed, making it difficult for me to apply the blusher evenly. I like my blush brush to be fluffy so it blends better. As a highlighter brush, it works perfect!

I usually use this blending brush to blend the highlight on my brow bones. It is also perfect for blending the eyeshadow but it is not good for picking up eyeshadow as it is very fluffy. 

This concealer brush is a perfect precision brush. I use it specially to dab the highlight close to the edge of my brows. It is just perfect for anything. Dabbing eyeshadow to the centre of your lid, or applying concealer. It would be just perfect. It is very dense and packed, it doesn't bend easily so it's reliable. It is just wonderful.

In conclusion, i think they're all wonderful. Especially if you're a beginner, this set is a must. With it's cheap price, i think it is a best bargain. I am very pleased with it.

EBAY EYEBROW MASCARA REVIEW

Hi everyone, 

This is another makeup product i found on eBay. Like always, eBay will never dissapoint me. The reason for me to get this brow mascara is none other than to change the colour of my brow hair. If you like looking through Japanese magazines, you would notice most the the models have this beautiful brown/blonde brow hair and they are obvious! I want to achieve just that because i adore their looks so much.

Other than that, I always thought my brow hair is dark and it makes my features appeared strong. To soften it up, i thought I better change the colour of my eyebrows. (:

NANI EYEBROW MASCARA

Mind you when I saw this on eBay I really thought the size was average. But when it arrived it appeared to be very tiny. It's in sample size! It was not the seller's fault, obviously. It was me who wasn't paying attention.

There were three colours to choose from. I got the one in shade #2.

Look how tiny it is compared to my hand.🙉

Though the size is small I was quickly distracted by the cuteness. The size is cute, the packaging is even cuter. Simple and clean with polka dots and lace detail. Kinda looks like the Dolly Wink Eyebrow Mascara. At this size, it's definitely travel friendly.

The texture of this mascara is thick. Applying it was easy. But since the handle of the wand is quite short, i found it a bit awkward to comb the hair. The mascara itself has tiny fine glitters in it. But it's not noticeable at all. Only when you sit under a source of light, then someone would notice the difference in your brow colour.

It takes time for the mascara to dry. About 1-2 minutes. It is not an issue at all for me as i can just leave it on. By the time i finished doing my makeup, it is already set. My brow hair stayed in place and it is definitely waterproof. If you scratch or rub the eyebrows, it won't smudge and i liked it a lot. Even if you gave it a rough rub, the only thing that came off was just this tiny specks of powder. Other than that, it won't ruin your brow shape.

Here in this photo i was only wearing this eyebrow mascara. Without my brow pencil. The look is very soft and natural. It does the job really well in making my brows to look brown from any angle.  That's the most important thing for me. So this photo was taken from the side and you can clearly see that every single strand of brow hair is brown.

This one is a closer look at my 'brown' brow hair. Makes me very happy when the change of colour is noticeable. I even got compliment from people when i wear this mascara.

 In conclusion i would say with only $0.99 spent, it is totally worth it.

HENNA LIPSTICK REVIEW

It is this green lipstick that magically turn your lips red. How could this even be possible? Green lipstick sounds odd enough. Now it could turn colour! Doesn't it sound magical?

Well it is magical enough if you were a little girl. I went crazy over it when I was a kid. Tales go around the kids kingdom and everyone wanted to give it a try. Even my boy cousins wanted to try it on. Lol. That was 20 years ago.

As I grow older the tales about it disappeared. I saw it once in awhile at a random shop. But never caught my attention. Not excited over it. Doesn't spark desire. 

It has been around since I was born. My mother used it. My grandmother used it. Even i did. It is just an old boring product!

BUT! But lately western countries started using it. There are reviews on the internet. People started selling it online. You see it on YouTube, on Pinterest, people blog about it. This lipstick seems to be very special now. 20 years ago we didn't have a specific name for it other than calling it 'green lipstick'. But now i know it is called Henna Lipstick.

As the popularity grew, i suddenly felt that I wanted to pick it up again. Wanted to give it another try. 

HENNA LIPSTICK

I bought this from a RM2 shop. So the price is only RM2. Super cheap right? 

The tube is made of plastic and green in colour. Very lightweight. And it is definitely cheap looking.

 

The size is average.  

Once you open it, you can see the inside tube is painted in gold colour. The lipstick itself is green in colour. When you sniff it, you'll notice that it is perfumed. Mixture of sweet and crayon smell.

Excuse my dried chapped lips 🙈

Applying it was easy. It glides smoothly. It has the texture of a lip balm. Buttery smooth. After a few seconds your lips will slowly change its colour. The longer you leave it on the redder it'll get. If you want it to look natural, i suggest you to just dab it on thinly. If you like it matte like I do, go ahead and blot it.

It has a very nice finish. Beautiful colour and it stains your lips perfectly. It has an excellent staying power. It would last you all day. Maybe a little touch ups after meals to keep it vibrant.

I must say for RM2, this is the best bargain ever. 

So was it really magic? Did it feel magical? Well, i must say it is impressive for a green lipstick to turn your lips red. People would say this is a henna lipstick that's why it works that way. But from what I read, it is not henna that stains your lips, it's red dye #27 which is colourless until it hits moisture. It leaves a light stain on your lips and leaving it to your existing skin and lips tone to do the work.

RM5 Daiso Blusher Review

My adventure with Daiso makeup products started since 8-10 years ago when i was studying in Serdang. Me and my friend would drive all the way up to The Curve, only to visit Daiso. And the only thing i was interested on was the makeup. With limited student budget, Daiso was a heaven to me.

I bought this blusher because i was in need for a matte blusher, and the ones that is not too powdery. You know, cheap blushers and eyeshadows tend to be too powdery. I just don't want that. Not much stay on my cheeks. Most of them just fly away all over the place makes everything dusty.

I've been wearing this for awhile now, so couldn't really show you how the packaging was. From the look of it i knew right away it is a matte blusher. So i brought it home. The appearance is very cute. Looks more like a Japanese makeup product.

 

 There are four colours inside.

  

Two above are shimmery, while the two below are matte.

You see, those two may be shimmery, but they're not as shimmery as a shimmer eyeshadow does. Very pale. They're meant to be mixed up together. Just as i thought, they are not powdery, in fact if you're gonna pick up the colour with your finger, you must put on a little bit of effort to transfer them. They're at the right texture. And i like it right away.

So here i am wearing them on my cheek with all the colours blended together. They appeared to be in coral pink. Nice. Just a perfect blend of matte and shimmer. After a few swipes you'll get the nice colour on your cheek. Not as pigmented and not too pale that you have to work it in so many times.

Here i went a little bit too much with the blusher so the camera can capture the colour. Doesn't it look nice? For me it is just perfect. Coral pink is not really my favourite colour. I love baby pink blusher the most. My hunt for perfect baby pink blusher is still ongoing. 💪

After. 90 Mascara Review

This is an awesome review about a very unknown, random mascara i found in the space of internet. I mean, this is very very random and UNKNOWN. Very unbranded i must say. 👽

The reason why i bought this was because of the price, obviously. I got this from AliExpress at quite a cheap price. Not as cheap as $1 though. I was browsing through AliExpress looking for a fibre mascara. But none of them caught my eyes. Most of them came with two tubes. One for mascara and the other one for fibre. From the review i read, it's obvious that handling two tubes of mascara is not fun. The fibre also fall all over the place. So to save myself some trouble in the future, i decided to just pay for this random unknown mascara.

There are 3 types of mascara to choose from. Red for Curling. Pink for Thickening. Yellow for Lengthening. I ended up choosing the Yellow one. 👀

After placing my order, it took 2 weeks for the parcel to arrive. It came from China. Packaging is cute. More like Japanese makeup products.

It's quite handful in your grasp. Big and fat. The tube is matte and velvety.

Consistency is thick. The wand is not something i like. It is oversized and not ideal for my eyelashes. Maybe it is different for other people.

Before: Bare eyelashes.         After: Curled and a coat of mascara.

 When i applied it to my eyelashes, it sticks right away to the hair. Effortless and surprising. It also dried quickly. You can build the layer by applying more coats but i find it to be clumpy if you apply more.

After a few hours, they still hold the curl and it could last you all day. In this tropical weather, it survived my sweaty and oily lids so many times. It is just amazing.

Rubbed with water.

Washing it was super effortless. I was very surprised. If you splash it with water or just a few touch, it won't bulge. But when i rubbed it, the product started to dissolve into powdery dirt. And some of them came off in specks of clump. No smudging. It won't smudge and stick to your skin at all. No panda-eyes! How awesome is that?

I cleaned my eyes with my face wash like i normally do and that's it. Clean. No need for makeup remover at all.

I will definitely gonna get more of this mascara in future. Wanna try out the other two. The red one especially. Huge five stars for this mascara.
