ALIEXPRESS STICK HIGHLIGHTER REVIEW

 Magical Halo Shimmer Stick
Price: US$ 1.07

When i ordered this i was really craving for a highlighter that could give me a fine wet-like look to my face. I thought a stick highlighter which is creamy would give me just that. So i ordered myself one. The price is very reasonable and i don't think i could get anything cheaper than this in a physical store around my city.

There are two colours to choose from. 01 - pink and 02 - golden.
I chose the golden one cos i thought it'll match my yellow undertone.

It came with this separator on top which is really neat. However if you're in a hurry, this separator will only slow you down. I ended up taking it out. This separator is perfect for travelling though.

 The golden stick.

It glides on very smoothly. It gives out tiny layer of product, no clumping and the glitter are fine. It's looks really nice at this point.

Once blended out, the shine almost look disappeared. Turned out to be very subtle with yellow tint to it.

Applied on the cheekbones, it looked okay. The glitter still shines through though it's not as blinding. I don't get that wet-look i'm looking for. And, if i build up the layers, it'll look super yellow, in contrast with the pink blush underneath. However, for brow bone and bridge of your nose highlight, it is extremely perfect.

After using it for over 4 months now, i decided that it is not for my cheekbones at all. I prefer using my powder highlighter over this cos it's more blinding *lol*.

Pros:
Easy to carry
Travel friendly
It has no smell

Cons:
Very subtle glow

DUPE NARS ITA BRUSH REVIEW

Dupe NARS Ita Brush
Price: US$ 1.47

The authentic brush is inspired from brushed used by geisha for doing their makeup. It's called 'itahake' as the ones found in this photo here.

I was initially not interested at all with this brush cos it looks awkward. But then i saw one of our local makeup artist using this in one of her video, doing makeup on her customer. She used it to apply contour and the result looked fabulous. Then, starting from that point on i started thinking of having one of this. So i went on the hunt for it on Aliexpress. The cheapest one i found is this one, where they don't print the label on the handle. If you want the realistic replica you'll have to pay more. Well, instead of paying more only for that print, i went ahead and just ordered this one.

Bare handle. Soft and velvety (picks up dust very easily though) and it feels very nice to the touch.

The brisles are not dense. But it's super soft.

The thing i like about this brush is it is precise. There's nothing too great about it apart from that job. Usually i would pick up my darker shade of contour and place it with this brush. Then i'd use another brush for blending it in with bronzer. So far it does the job really well and i enjoyed using it.

This brush is definitely not an essential tool in makeup. It's just a nice addition just to have fun with. At least it is there in my collection and it definitely satisfy my curiosity.

CATRICE HD LIQUID COVERAGE FOUNDATION REVIEW

 Catrice HD Liquid Coverage Foundation
Price: RM33.00

Catrice is only available in Guardian. Before buying this i have seen lots of review on it cos i don't want to do the same mistake i made when i bought the Olay BB Cream. I saw many good reviews on it. My only focus was a foundation that provides good coverage and the price has to be reasonable. This Catrice foundation suits the characteristics i'm looking for. In fact it's among the cheapest foundation you could find in a drugstore. Other brands would cost at least 40 ringgit.

It came in a velvety glass bottle. It feels quiet heavy in your hand. Last time i was in Guardian i saw they only carry two shades to choose from. 020 - Rose Beige and the other one is here in my hand 040 - Warm Beige.

It comes with this dropper that makes it look rich and expensive. Who would've thought it's only a 30 ringgit (ish) foundation?

The only problem i heard about this foundation is it oxidizes. Well i did the comparison photos here. In my opinion it is not that bad. It does oxidizes into a shade darker but it matches the colour of my skin. So i have no complain here.

It has a soft smell kinda smell like powder. It's not obvious to the point of bothering. After 15 minutes the smell is completely gone.

The foundation dries almost intantly as you blend it. So i suggest you work in sections. It's really lightweight. Once it sets, it feels as if you're wearing nothing. Not tacky. Just a smooth and soft surface. Its staying power is also great. Even in this hot humid climate. It survived wonderfully. I really like it so far. And i've been wearing it a lot.

For those who are looking for affordable foundation, I would really recommend it.
